Small and quaint
A Buddha you can keep close at hand
This Buddha statue is an attractive principal image with a simple appearance resembling a stone carving. It is cast from brass and colored using traditional Takaoka techniques to create a time-worn appearance. The coloring process involves baking lacquer, and although the distinctive lacquer scent may be noticeable immediately after opening, it will fade naturally after a while. To care for it, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
↑The Buddha with the halo on his back is named "Shuyui (Contemplation)." His calm and gentle expression seems to embrace everything.
↑The Buddha on the cloud is "Michibiki" (guidance). Each one is handcrafted, and there are slight differences in the facial expression, but they all seem to have a gentle smile... They are a presence that gently pushes you forward.
It is approximately 10cm tall and small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It will be shipped in a special paulownia wood box.
*Since the principal image enshrined varies depending on the sect, we recommend that you check with your family temple.
