"raika" is a small memorial case that gently fits in the palm of your hand. Its refined design is inspired by a lotus bud, with metal leaf applied both on the surface and inside. This gives it a solemn and beautiful appearance techniques reminiscent of the Pure Land. Despite its compact size, the luxurious texture makes it a perfect item to gently hold ashes, keepsakes, or other precious mementos of your loved ones. The sturdy brass base, crafted using traditional handed down in Takaoka, provides lasting support to safeguard what you hold dear.

Attention to detail in the finishing
In the "Oumi"(Aluminum Leaf)color, the exterior is finished with aluminum leaf, while the interior is luxuriously adorned with gold leaf. This careful craftsmanship, even in parts that are not immediately visible, reflects the artisan's heartfelt desire to honor what is held inside. Despite the high cost of gold leaf, it is used generously to meticulously finish the interior, demonstrating our passion and dedication to detail.

The set includes two pouches: a white pouch made from Tango Chirimen fabric designed to hold ashes, keepsakes, or other precious items, and a storage pouch for the memorial case itself. Both pouches play an important role in respectfully protecting and carrying the contents.

The included pouch is made from high-quality Tango Chirimen, a smooth and carefully selected fabric that reveals beautiful patterns depending on the angle of the light.

Yuhi (Gold Leaf)

About the Metal Leaf
The delicate gradients on the surface are created using a unique technique developed by a metal leaf manufacturer based in Kanazawa, the city responsible for over 99% of Japan's metal leaf production. By layering gradients of color onto the metal leaf, this mysterious shimmering effect is achieved. The subtle and elegant changes in color produce a refined brilliance that soothes the viewer's heart.
