Kokoroboshi — A Special Original Design
Crafted by Yamaguchi Kyujo for Inori Hyakkaten
Kokoroboshi is a perfectly round urn inspired by the image of stars. It is a special original design carefully crafted by Yamaguchi Kyujo, a renowned Buddhist altar craftsman, exclusively for Inori Hyakkaten.
The Kokoroboshi collection comes in four colors, each named after a season: Spring (pink), Summer (blue), Autumn (yellow), and Winter (white).
The Spring, Summer, and Autumn colors are created using the traditional kimono dyeing technique called “Suminagashi,” which produces beautiful marbled patterns.
The Winter color is made by finely crushing mica—a mineral that reflects light—and scattering it over the surface, expressing the sparkling powder snow dancing in the winter sunlight.

Each piece has a unique pattern with natural variations, so no two are exactly alike.
Manufactured in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, a casting town responsible for over 90% of Japan's copperware production, this piece showcases the exceptional coloring skills of Takaoka copperware artisans.
The lid features a double-layered structure that prevents accidental opening, allowing for safe and secure use.
About the Colors
Spring (Pink)
The Spring pink features a gentle gradation of pink and yellow in a marbled pattern, expressing the beauty of flowers blooming in the season. This soft pink evokes elegance and warmth, like petals shining under gentle spring sunlight. The combination of pink and yellow gradation beautifully captures the delicate glow of flowers in the soft spring light, creating an elegant and refined beauty.
Summer (Blue)
The Summer blue evokes clear blue skies, sparkling seas, and lush green mountains. The marbled blend of blue and green reflects the vibrant beauty of summer nature.
Autumn (Yellow)
The Autumn yellow, with its grayish pearl base and yellow gradient marbling, represents the golden-hued trees and fallen leaves. Its warm colors evoke the calmness and richness of the autumn season.
Winter (White)
The Winter white expresses the winter landscape of falling powder snow with the shimmering sparkle of mica. Its delicate shimmer changes beautifully with the light, giving a magical impression.
